* CLASSIFICATION OF THE CONSERVATION STATUS OF ADVERTISING POSTERS

CONDITION A: Indicates a poster in excellent condition. The colors are fresh and there is no lack in the paper. There may also be some small holes or very slight folds, but of marginal interest. A+ refers to posters that rarely appear on the market, in a state of conservation as if they had just come out of the printer. A- the poster may have some very slight folds, bubbles or dirt, all of very little relevance.

CONDITION B : Indicates a poster in good condition. May have some minor paper loss, but not in crucial parts of the image. In case of restorations, they are marginal and not immediately evident. Margins and colors are good although some yellowing may be present. B+ indicates poster in very good condition. B- indicates a poster in fairly good condition, albeit with some minor flaws or restorations.

CONDITION C : Indicates a poster in fair condition. The yellowing can be evident, the restorations, creases or tears are immediately visible and there may be some lack of paper. The manifesto remains, however, intact in its crucial image and colours.

CONDITION D : Indicates a poster in poor condition. Much of the poster may be missing, including some important areas of the image and/or the colors are so washed out as to make it difficult to interpret the artist's work.
