SIMCA, model in die-cast metal scale 1:43 SIMCA Aronde car produced by the French automaker from 1951 to 1964.
SIMCA stands for Société Industrielle de Mécanique et de Carrosserie Automobile was a French car manufacturer active from 1934 to 1980 and founded by the Italian Enrico Teodoro Pigozzi, a former Fiat manager sent to France to manage the activities of the Turin company. SIMCA was officially established in 1934 but its origins go way back and are connected to the presence of Fiat on the French market as early as the 1900s, where under another denomination SIMCA dealts with the importation of cars produced by the house of the "Lingotto". With the ever-increasing demand for cars imported and distributed by SAFAF, Pigozzi's idea of expanding the company he led grew stronger and thus SIMCA was born in Paris on 2 November 1934. The following years were golden years for SIMCA, years that prompted the Parisian house to find new alliances overseas that would allow it to export its models to the American market and vice versa, or rather to offer the giants of American motoring a factory and a European distribution network. considering the new constitution of the EEC. The search for new alliances leads to Chrysler entering the share capital of SIMCA, a share that in the following years becomes increasingly important and then leads to the creation of Chrysler Italia in the 70s. It is in this brand that my family officially starts the first activities in the automotive field in the 60s and 70s, first entering the management and then taking over the entire property of the Simca dealer and then Chrysler-Simca for Pescara and its province, an activity developed with new points of sale and then sold following the various reorganizations by Chrysler on the European market, but still remained in the family.
