Enrico Nardi, co-founder together with Renato Danese of ND, was an Italian engineer, designer and racing driver who collaborated with the most important car manufacturers, one above all Lancia, where he was a close collaborator of Vittorio Lancia. ND was founded in 1946 in Turin as a mechanical workshop for the development of racing cars, for the creation of racing prototypes and for the designer. However, the company soon specialized in the automotive components sector and so, in 1951, Enrico Nardi founded the "Nardi & C Sas "known for its famous mahogany wood steering wheel mounted for the first time on a Pegaso in 1952 and then used by all the best brands of luxury and sports cars.
