Mercedes-Benz is the commercial brand used for cars produced by the German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz AG born in 2019 and originally founded in 1926 from the merger of the Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft companies of Gottlieb Daimler and the Benz & Cie of Karl Benz, father of the automobile with the Patent Motorwagen. The name Mercedes is instead linked to the daughter of the Austrian importer of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft, Emil Jellinek who since 1898 used the name Mercedes as an omen for the sales of German cars and also because it was easier and more elegant to remember than Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft; the "Mercedes" used by Jellinek to participate in car races also reported the Mercedes writing on the nose and the numerous victories obtained by the Austrian importer allowed him to acquire considerable popularity and to order about 40 racing cars on condition that they were called, though, Mercedes. Despite the opposition of the Stuttgart top management for participation in the tenders, the order was respected and the Mercedes name is still used today. The Mercedes-Benz W201 was a car produced by the Stuttgart automaker from 1982 to 1993 marketed under the name of 190 and historically important for three reasons; the first concerns the style and the line, the car was designed, in fact, by the well-known Italian designer Bruno Sacco who was head of the Mercedes-Benz style center for years and his line will be the starting point for all future Mercedes-Benz cars. Benz; the Mercedes-Benz 190 is also, and for the first time, equipped with the Multilink rear suspension system, a system which has become a point of reference in the construction technique of Mercedes-Benz automobiles; the third reason is, however, the entry of the Mercedes-Benz 190 into the lower-end car segment with respect to the medium-high-end car segment which was, however, covered by the Mercedes-Benz W123.
