Maserati, press kit used for the presentation of the Maserati Spyder 90th Anniversary at the 2004 Paris Motor Show. The objects come from the private collection of a well-known journalist, radio and book author and for many years manager of Éditions Alpha, a company which has become Éditions Atlas.

Maserati is an Italian car manufacturer now owned by the Stellantis group, founded in Bologna on 1 December 1914 in Via De' Pepoli I/A as Officina Alfieri Maserati which was soon joined by the brothers Bindo, Ettore and Ernesto, unfortunately, Carlo the older brother who had "infected" his brothers with a passion for engines had already died of an illness. The new ownership, in addition to allowing Maserati to obtain important victories such as that of 1939 and 1940 at the Indianapolis 500, is also remembered because it moved the company headquarters to Modena in Via Ciro Menotti, which has become historic. 1947 was the year of the Maserati A6 1500 Sport designed by Pininfarina, the first road coupé for Maserati, while, in 1957, after the F1 world championship with Manuel Fangio on a 250F, Maserati's participation in motor racing officially ended; the presence of Maserati cars is, however, guaranteed by the Tipo 60-61, the so-called "Birdcage" entrusted to private teams and which have continued to dominate motor racing in the Sports category. Giulio Alfieri, Maserati's chief designer for years, in 1959 created the Maserati 5000GT specifically for the Shah of Persia and the Maserati 3500GT, a luxury granturismo for mass production of the new car segment born in the wake of the economic boom of the 1960s. years that saw the creation of the Maserati Sebring, Mistral and the first Quattroporte, the fastest sedan in the world at the time. After a French parenthesis with Maserati ownership which passed to Citroën in 1968 and after the creation of the Maserati Bora Merak and Khamsin, the Italian car company Maserati was bought by Alejandro De Tomaso and in 1976 the "new" Maserati Quattroporte became the vehicle of representation of the President of the Italian Republic. In 1993 Fiat bought Maserati which was partly sold to Ferrari and definitively repurchased by Fiat in 2005; 1998 is the year of the presentation of the Maserati 3200GT designed by Giugiaro, a car that once again marks the history of the Maserati car manufacturer because it is the last car to mount a Maserati engine. The Maserati Spyder is a car produced by Maserati from 2001 to 2007 and presented at the 2004 Paris Motor Show as limited edition to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Italian car manufacturer; the Maserati Spyder 90° Anniversario was, in fact, produced in just 90 units and is easily recognizable by the special "Blue Anniversary" colour.
