Mamod SA1 Roadster metal model with fully functional steam engine, circa 1960s-70s. Length about 40cm.

Mamod is an ancient English company from the West Midlands founded in 1936 by Geoffrey Malins and, the name derives from the first two initials of the founder's surname "Ma" with the addition of the word "Mod" as a model and still active on the market today with the production of some models that were first introduced in 1930. The main feature common to all Mamod models is the steam supply system that, with the movement and the sound emitted by the pressure vent, make the model highly realistic and unique.

Brass boiler with safety relief valve and charge drain at the front. Single oscillating steam cylinder with lever for forward and reverse.
Belt drive to the rear wheels, 4 wheels + spare tire with red 10-spoke rims, red iron frame, cream white vehicle colour.
Steering front wheels with spring loaded suspension

Complete with accessories, funnel, fuel slide and extension to control the steering wheel, no box.

There are signs of aging as visible in the photographs.
