Original advertisement for the "Les Maitres del l'Affiches" collection, an art publication commissioned by Jules Cheret and created by the "Imprimerie Chaix" printing house when he was its director. Jules Cheret (1836/1932) is considered the father of "Poster Art".
The print, performed with the chromolithography technique, in "Cloche" format, features a raised stamp designed by Charles Cheret himself, and was sent monthly to the magazine's subscribers, in packets of 4 prints, one of which was specially created. Between 1895 and 1901 256 chromolithographs were reproduced starting from the original works of 97 artists.
In excellent general condition considering the age, frame with slight signs of aging.
