Autobianchi, original Autobianchi sign in screen-printed metal, size 80x80cm. 1970s 1980s circa. Made in Italy.

Autobianchi was an Italian car manufacturer active in the production of cars and trucks, founded in Milan in 1955 with the intention of reviving the Fabbrica Automobili e Velocipedi Edoardo Bianchi company from the then general manager of Bianchi, Ferruccio Quintavalle. The general manager involved Fiat which would have had the possibility of approaching a clientele oriented towards the purchase of medium-small cars of superior quality to Fiat's peers, and Pirelli which could have increased sales with the production of cars produced by the new brand. The operational headquarters of Autobianchi was the historic Bianchi production complex in Desio, appropriately modified and adapted to the needs of the production of the historic Bianchina and Autobianchi branded trucks starting from 1957. In 1958 Bianchi sold the Desio plant to Fiat and Pirelli, which was further modified in the following years to accommodate the production of the new Autobianchi range, the 1963 fiberglass Stellina, the 1964 Primula, the first car produced by the Fiat group to mount front-wheel drive. In 1968, after Fiat bought out Autobianchi entirely, the A111 and the Autobianchi Giardiniera were present, born on the basis of the new Fiat 500 Giardiniera. The 1970s saw the presentation of another iconic Autobianchi model, the A112, a small-medium sized car that was immediately appreciated by young people and rival of the Innocenti Mini. The acquisition of Lancia first and then of Afa Romeo by the Fiat group and the subsequent corporate reorganizations of the Turin automotive group, relegated Autobianchi to the sole production of utility cars, production definitively stopped in 1992, after however having introduced, in 1985 , the last car produced by Autobianchi, the Autobianchi Y 10, a glamorous icon car and style icon of the 80s.

Excellent general conditions, considering its age and use, there are signs of aging which make the sign even more beautiful and unique especially in the history it has handed down.
