Renault, Solido Renault 4CV die-cast metal model, 1:17 scale, Renault Collection series, year 1997.
Renault is a French car manufacturer founded by Lois Renault in 1898 which, after the death of its founder and the accusations of collaboration with the Nazi regime, became a state under the name of Régie nationale des usines Renault; in 1996 Renault was privatized again and the new company name is Renault SA. The letters LR were the Renault logo and was placed on the wheel hubs, while the logo, the stylized nose of a Renault built around 1900, only appeared on the documents and use and maintenance booklets of French cars. After the First World War the famous "Lozenge" was introduced, used for the first time in 1925 positioned on the horn of cars with open vertical blades to let the sound pass. Over the years, the Lozenge has been redesigned and adapted to convey the character and image that has always characterized Renault cars, reliability and robustness. Some famous models made by the car manufacturer with the lozenge are the Reinastella, the most luxurious Renault ever, the Dauphine, the R4, the Renault 25 and the Fuego and the Renault Espace, the first MPV made by a car manufacturer. The Renault 4CV was a car produced by the French car manufacturer between 1947 and 1961 and was created to replace the Juvaquatre. The development project of the Renault 4CV started during the Second World War was entrusted to Fernand Picard with the supervision of Charles-Edmond Serre and carried out by a team of trusted people who were also unaware of Louis Renault, because the production plant of the French automaker was under the control of the Germans, however, in complete secrecy during the Second World War. The development of the car that was supposed to replace the Renault Juvaquatre was entrusted to , including the father and founder of the company Louis Renault, because the factory of the French automobile company was under the control of the Germans.
Model in perfect general condition, however there are some signs of aging as clearly visible from the photographs, with non-original box.
