Land Rover, Diecast Metal Model 1:24 Scale Martoys Range Rover ref. 0104, 1970s. 5 openings and liftable seat, complete with original box.
Land Rover is today a British car manufacturer specializing in the production of high-end and luxury off-road vehicles and SUVs, belonging to the Jaguar Land Rover automotive group, which in turn belongs to the Tata Motors industrial group, whose origins date back, however, to 1947 when Maurice Wilks, chief designer of Rover, builds a prototype on a chassis and with parts of the Jeep (General Purpose Vehicle), box frame and four-wheel drive. In 1948 it was officially produced and marketed as Land-Rover and given the success immediately achieved by the Land-Rover off-road vehicle, the Land Rover Ltd company was created in 1978, a company that has survived despite the various vicissitudes it has gone through the whole British automotive sector after the nationalization of the British government. The first generation Range Rover was the first luxury four-wheel drive all-terrain vehicle manufactured by an automaker and produced by Land Rover from 1969 to 1996.
