Rolls-Royce Ltd was officially founded on March 15, 1906, but its foundations lie in the agreement reached on May 4, 1904, by the aristocrat Charles Rolls and the engineer Sir. Henry Royce. The meeting organized in Manchester by Ernest Claremont, Royce's partner in Royce Ltd, led to the agreement whereby Charles S. Rolls would be responsible for selling the automobiles designed and built by Henry Royce. This agreement soon led to the creation of the company that is still synonymous with quality and reliability today, principles on which the British car manufacturer has always been based and which derive from Sir.
